I am trying to make a web hosting site so I can make money. Does anybody know of a software (prefferably free) that can help me make a web hosting site.

Although a web server can run on any machine, most internet servers run on a dedicated server machine that can be very expensive (thousands of dollars). You need to make sure the server has adequate cooling so it doesn’t overheat as well. Not only this, but you also need to make sure you have a reliable internet connection that can be used all the time, but also that you have a static ip address (which can be bought from your isp). Your isp might not even let you host a web server on a home connection. You also must consider a bandwidth limit, depending on how many websites and the files they contain, you certainly need a good amount of bandwidth.

What you are looking for is what’s called a “Reseller Account”
godaddy.com provides this, but it is not cheap. However, they do cut much of the costs for you at sign-up, by setting up the software, and providing the products. Therefore, all you have to do is market the site.
And this is much easier, and way more cost-efficient than investing say; a data-center, where you will have to buy the hardware (we are talking several thousands of dollars just to start!), years of technical training/experience, and an overhead.
So the first option is definitely the way to go if you are on a limited budget.

Free, should have known. How do you plan to make money from free and you won’t make money if you don’t know what you are doing most websites fail. These questions are ask so much these days, they real answer is get a JOB, ya a JOB.

You need more than just software. You need servers too..
It’s not just instant money, it cost a couple thousand dollars (EASILY) to set up.
